Kokořínsko (Oct. 2004)

Stretching from the town of Mělník to Česká Lípa, the Kokořínsko Protected Landscape Area is full of narrow valleys and sandstone rock formations, the most famous of which are the so-called rock lids located in a valley of the same name. Other treasures of the Kokořínsko Region include Houska and Kokořín castles and a host of small picturesque villages featuring fine examples of wooden folk architecture.
